Clearview Homes have a rich history in southwest Iowa. The home in Clearfield opened in 1961, and the home in Mount Ayr in 1963. Rich and Mickey Routh and Paul and Verla Dean Varner were the first owners at the time they were established.
Today, the homes are still family-owned and managed by the Routh’s children, Joe and Julie Routh and Patty and John Parrish. Grandson Matthew and his wife Katie are also actively involved with the day-to-day operations of the homes. Along with the family, over 140 full and part-time employees help make it possible to provide the high degree of quality care our residents expect and deserve.
In addition to the two original homes, the assisted living apartments have been developed to provide accommodations to those individuals who find the daily responsibilities and tasks of life becoming difficult or burdensome. The belief of the staff at Clearview is that if senior adults maintain a healthy lifestyle and continue to make choices with minimal assistance, they will continue to thrive and enjoy the rich opportunities that life can bring to each individual.
The Routh family looks forward to continuing their care and assistance to the community and area residents as they strive to provide tender-loving care in a home-like atmosphere.
